ZF8 Gearbox Performance Flash Tune

The ZF8 gearbox is a masterpiece of engineering. Sadly, BMW run their own firmware to drive these gearboxes which is basic, under developed and designed for the mass market. We have developed and improved on BMW’s firmware to highlight the potential of this increadable gearbox. Our gearbox tunes can be used as a standalone upgrade but works extremelely well in tandum with our performance remaps.

Approx. 25% faster up shifts in D/S modes.
Approx. 50% faster up shifts in M mode.

Optimised torque converter lockup in 1st/2nd/3rd gear.
Optimised warm up Behaviour.
Torque limits set to 1000nm.
3rd and 6th gear have a torque limit via gearbox software so can restrict power output with a tuned engine, these are opened up with this tune.

DEC button – Altering gearbox behaviour (on ZF 8HP equipped vehicles).

Most models now include a DEC button (Driving Experience Switch) button to alter the car’s behaviour. Unfortunately, BMW did not use this function to it’s full potential on the regular (non ///M powered) models). Our gearbox performance tunes reprogram your transmission allowing access more shift programs (dependent on model).
